Description
God of War for PC was anticipated for months, from around mid-2021, until the developers finally confirmed a PC release in January 2022! It's the PC version of 2018's God of War, initially available only on PlayStation. The game allows PC players to enjoy the intense action-adventure gameplay of the Norse God.
The game is the eighth in the entire multiplatform series and takes place in a setting that, while not a true open world but rather a series of connected locations, is still spacious and explorable. You'll rarely feel forced to do certain things, despite the game's linear progression.
There are two protagonists in the game, one of whom is playable. Kratos—a former Greek god of war and the only playable character—is accompanied by his young son, Atreus, who appears to be between eight and twelve years old. The two are on a quest for honor, disposing of Faye's (Atreus's mother) ashes, as per her deathbed wish, to have her remains scattered on the highest peak of the nine realms.
Of course, there would be no story if everything went smoothly, and so their quest is interrupted by monsters and deities who have other ideas about who should be able to dispose of their earthly remains at the sacred peak. The monsters start out large and terrifying and steadily grow larger and more fearsome, giving you plenty of room to improve your skills. The combat is wonderful: bloody, brutal, and—thanks to the physics engine—very satisfying!
Almost equally satisfying, and rare in a game best known for the cracking of skulls and broken bones, is the arc between Kratos and Atreus. When they begin, they are almost strangers to each other, each feeling that the other expects more from them than they deliver. This arc progresses as the game progresses, culminating in a much closer, more respectful, and loving relationship between the two. And all without compromising the joyous bloodshed!
Gameplay is equally fluid with a PlayStation controller (PS4 or PS5 recommended) or a gaming keyboard and mouse, depending on your setup and preferences. To celebrate the PC release, Sony has released some extra content, a slew of new skins, and even some free armor sets to try on for size.
Enjoy the game: the original version won over 190 awards for best game. The action is filmed in a single continuous shot, always focusing on Kratos and his son, making it instantly immersive. The camera style isn't kitsch or arty, however; everything flows seamlessly, leaving you breathless as you follow your hero up close.
Atreus is the AI at its most powerful, interacting almost naturally, but also obediently following instructions and allowing you to double your strike rate and power if you time your actions with his, something the pros make it look easy to do!
Take your time exploring the worlds and learning about the mythology and hidden secrets of the world, or rush through the game to finish quickly and then return to cover the pieces you missed. There's at least 20 hours or so of content that isn't directly related to the game, just waiting to be enjoyed as you explore the beautifully rendered world to its fullest.
Leviathan Axe: Kratos's axe is something like Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, in that it returns when summoned. Time your shots precisely, so you can kill two enemies for the price of one: one on the way out and one on the way back to you. Leviathan Axe can be upgraded, so keep checking for boosters. AI Archery: Atreus's bow and arrows are always with him, and come in handy as he accompanies you into battle, dispatching enemies while you're busy. Hand-to-Hand Combat: Kratos's "Rage of the Gods" mode grants him a super punching power that takes a simple (though already extremely powerful) punch to another dimension. Retractable Shield: Kratos's gauntlet hides a devious secret. The full-size shield pops out and deflects arrows, careless punches, and spears, as long as you deploy it in time. Rune Wolf Spirit Attack – Atreus has various runic attacks, summoning aid when he needs it. Such as a gigantic spectral wolf that attacks enemies three times before vanishing once more. Armor – Everything Kratos wears can be customized, and everything can make a difference! Be careful not to make his armor too thick, as this can slow him down, for example. With each upgrade, you'll have to weigh various stats—defense versus agility, for example—so think about each option and choose wisely!
God of War for PC is available for purchase on Instant Gaming for a fraction of its retail price. You'll receive an official key and be playing in seconds. Play smart. Pay less.

Game Information
The game's plot takes place against the backdrop of Norse deities, rather than the ancient Greece of the original games, and is loosely set in medieval Scandinavia in the realm of Midgard, which is the Norse equivalent of the lands inhabited by the first humans when the world was “young”.There are two protagonists in the game, one of whom is playable. Things to know
Take a moment before playing to customize your PC settings to match your CPU for the best possible results. You'll think it's worth it when you see the beautiful scenery that makes even the quiet parts a wonderful experience. During action sequences, you'll be too busy to notice your surroundings unless they offer a convenient cave to hide in or a rock to take shelter behind while you catch your breath!Gameplay is equally fluid with a PlayStation controller (PS4 or PS5 recommended) or a gaming keyboard and mouse, depending on your setup and preferences. What weapons are there?
The game used Norse myths to invent some fabulous weapons for Kratos and Atreus to wield:Leviathan Axe: Kratos's axe is something like Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, in that it returns when summoned. Time your shots precisely, so you can kill two enemies for the price of one: one on the way out and one on the way back to you. Leviathan Axe can be upgraded, so keep checking for boosters.
