Far Cry 6 for PC is set on the fictional Caribbean island of Yara, an open-world first-person shooter. The game boasts the largest Far Cry map to date, which you can traverse on foot or in a diverse array of vehicles. Game Information

In this stunning and beautiful place, with its magnificent, yet ancient, architecture, the evil dictator Anton Castillo (beautifully voiced by Giancarlo Esposito) has a lesson for his son. He gives the boy, Diego, a grenade, then holds down the firing mechanism and pulls out the pin.

What does it mean? This, he explains, is how people are: obedient as long as they're under a firm grip, then when you're relaxed with them, BOOM... something happens.

This lesson is El Presidente's way of strengthening his son, preparing him to succeed his brutal regime. Refreshingly, he isn't portrayed as a black-and-white villain: he has his own reasons for his behavior, which are, at least to him, reasonable.

The fact that people need a firm grip if things aren't to become noisy, bloody, and short-lived—at least for the Castillos!—is supported by the existence of the Resistance. And that's where you come in.

You are a rebel, a Resistance fighter named Dani Rojas (you can choose your gender at the start of the game: with the male Dani voiced by Sean Rey and the female by Nisa Gunduz). You can craft your own weapons if needed and hire canine companions to aid you in your efforts.

One of them is Chorizo, an adorable dachshund in a canine wheelchair, so don't be too quick to decide to do it all yourself: the cute factor is almost overwhelming!

The beautifully detailed graphics almost look like a stylized short film—even more beautiful than real life! You can play with your real-life team in cooperative multiplayer, which returns in this edition.

A little background

Every freedom fighter needs information, and you're no different. The game's action is set against the backdrop of the uprisings disrupting the island's uneasy peace: the people have openly grown tired of Anton Castillo's iron grip and are uneasy about Diego growing up, expecting the boy to replace his father within a few years.

Dani (you) is at the center of the action, fighting on rooftops and in back alleys, keeping an eye on the few who still support El Presidente. Some people voted for him, but most are now realizing that his immense and proudly touted strength is actually just a facade, one that young Anton built around himself after watching his father executed shortly before he took power.
